Scott joined the Mobile and Consumer Internet team at Mohr Davidson with both an eye for detail and a love of the big picture. He has deep interest in mobile enabled commerce, and in 2012 was a contributing author to “Shopping for Good,” a book published by MIT Press. He’s also focused on how mobile, social, and big data analytics are transforming financial services, traditional commerce, and our interactions with the offline, physical world.
Amir Alexander Hasson, Founder of United Villages
Amir is an accomplished entrepreneur with expertise in business development, strategy, finance, management, Web technologies, mobile applications, telecom, and distribution. He has started 3 companies, raised over $5m from venture investors, and built networks impacting the lives of millions of people in the US, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Amir now serves as the Chief Development Officer for Oxigen – India’s largest payment solutions provider.
Ovidiu Bujorean, Senior Manager of the GIST Initiative at CRDF Global
Ovidiu manages and directs the GIST Initiative at CRDF Global. He is a professional speaker on topics such as professional networking, innovation, entrepreneurship and partnerships building. Previously, he was the Senior Associate at Rudyard Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in consumer technologies. Ovidiu serves as Chairman of the Board of Advisors of AIESEC DC and Vice-Chairman of MIT Enterprise Forum of Washington DC. He founded LEADERS, an organization that impacted the lives of approximately 10,000 young leaders and entrepreneurs in Romania and Southern-Eastern Europe and is a graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Management (MBA) and Harvard’s Kennedy School (MPA).

VentureOut Challenge Propel your mobile app globally
VentureOut is an initiative of infoDev in collaboration with CRDF Global to propel expansion-ready mobile entrepreneurs into international markets. VentureOut will support hundreds of entrepreneurs through hands-on training, virtual learning opportunities, mentorship, international exposure, and seed funding. Entrepreneurs will come from local technology community partners located in eight countries: Armenia, Jamaica, Kenya, Macedonia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Trinidad & Tobago. This program identifies advanced entrepreneurs during the mobile app competition – semi-finalists to be announced September 17, 2013.
